I own a large 6 bedroom home in the Canyon Creek area by the elementary school A and .4 miles from UTDallas. The elementary school has a kickball field, park, pool, tennis courts, and a soccer field. These are practically across the street from my home. UTD has much more facilities available. I walk here almost everyday and am writing from a university classroom.
I have one or two rooms coming available very soon.
We have a very fun mix of people at the house right now, age 22-35 (I am the youngest.)
Right now there is one carpeted room available upstairs (a very large room) and one hardwood-floor space available in the Master bedroom (a smaller space, but with more convenient bathroom access).
The house has two tremendously large living areas and one relatively small backyard. The kitchen is large and well-stocked. The washer is new and the dryer works fine.
Rent is $400 plus 20% of all utilities which include cable tv and internet, water, gas, and electric. We are discussing getting a maid service or, if you'd like a rent discount, we could build cleaning into your rent. We would split this or someone would foot the bill and collect. For this last month, the utilities totaled approximately $80/person.
This can go up or down depending on your habits. Personally I would prefer to live in a dark house (that is frequently turn off lights) and use climate control sparingly.
I look forward to hearing from you; we have a female roommate upstairs who would prefer another female roommate to live adjacent to her (the rooms upstairs are fairly separate from the rest of the house. Downstairs we are gender-indifferent.
