Located on the west coast of Mexico, about half way to Acapulco, this "little" fishing village has grown to one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico. Mary and I choose Puerto Vallarta and this location because of the culture, the people, and, well, those red clay tennis courts in John Newcombs old teaching center. We love playing tennis; other people like the beaches, the deep sea fishing, the snorkeling and just strolling down the Malecon, the local boardwalk with some of the best people watching anywhere. We are within easy walking distance to literally anything in Old Town Puerto Vallarta, including all those great restaurants, quaint shops, top-notch art galleries and the city cultural center, located only 2 blocks away across that little swinging bridge to the island in the middle of the Rio Caule. Come on over, you'll be sure to enjoy it!
