This bike measures 58 cm (seat tube), and is in immaculate condition; no rust or dings.
Recent upgrades include: new Vittoria Randonneur tires (they resist flats), a new sealed bottom bracket (work performed by Joey at Trinity Bicycles), new Tektro brake levers and a new Bontrager saddle. This bicycle is very special.It was built during a period referred to as ‘the glory days of Japanese bicycle manufacturing’, circa 1970s to the 1980s. This Team Fuji is a fine example of vintage Japanese bicycle art. And, to my knowledge this is one of a very few around.
It includes: a quad – butted chromoly frame with sculpted lugs, forged front and rear dropouts, a Tange headset, and a blue and yellow paint scheme.
An interesting historical aspect of this frame, when Fuji was producing these Team Fujis they decided to chrome the forks of their Team Fuji bicycles before applying a coat of paint, and they baked the paint during production.
The bicycle handles well at high speeds, and it can makes a great single speed. I am selling it because it is too small.
