Our Irving office is currently seeking an ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / PROJECT EXECUTIVE.This is a senior-level position within our Fiber Optic division, and can be based either in our Dallas or Burbank office.Position requires a unique mix of technical knowledge, organizational abilities, leadership attributes, and sales skills. The three main areas of responsibility are:
(1) SALES AND ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
Attract new business Maintain and build relationships with existing clients
Design proposals for optical solutions with clients and end users
Record and bill revenue
(2) PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Develop and implement project plans
Insure that goals are met
Report and monitor budgeted costs against financial goals
(3) ENGINEERING
Provide, on-site engineering guidance and support
This is primarily a customer-facing position and will require on average 50% travel.Position requires other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. in Business or Electrical Engineering with related coursework/experience specific to Optics. Prefer minimum 5 years experience in field related to fiber optics, preferably in the broadcasting industry; general mechanical and electronic design skills a must . Excellent working knowledge of broadcast systems and technology; comprehensive understanding of optical technology and its use in broadcasting. Minimum 3 years experience in account management / sales in a leadership role.Ability to build client relationships based on technical knowledge, value and trust. Proven sales skills built on consultative type selling. Good computer skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel.An aptitude for learning new systems quickly and thoroughly. Some coursework in Business Administration preferred. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, ambitious, well-organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
COMPENSATION:
