JCPenney is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst who will be responsible for the production, analysis and explanation of monthly profitability reports for the Merchandising Divisions of JCP Direct (Internet and Catalog) and supports the effective use of financial and operational data in a timely presentation to senior management.
Additional duties will include; - Coordinating the completion of monthly profitability statements and related merchandise performance reporting.
- Providing detail analysis of monthly results and communicates results to appropriate levels of management.
- Leading training and development of the user community in the use of monthly financial reports and analysis.

- Coordinating, through partnership with IT Partners, improvements to systems and business processes while maintaining and enhancing Financial and Operational controls.
- Supporting Company and divisional initiatives through individual and team assignments, analysis, and special projects.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-3 years of related work experience required. An MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred but is not a requirement.Thorough communication skills, written and verbal, strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills are necessary.Demonstrated PC and web based application skills are key, as you will need to access, gather and analyze financial and operational information.
