We are seeking an Activity Coordinator for an apartment community located in Grand Prairie. This is a permanent part time position, $15/$18/hr, and 66 hours per month. Although the majority of our focus is on the children of each property we serve, it is also our mission to adhere to any other needs that may arise as well. This person can expect to work with school age children, teens, adults and seniors in a variety of arenas.
Activity Coordinators typically offer homework/tutoring assistance, computer classes, arts and crafts, recreation and they are also contact outside agencies to come in as guest speakers to address hot topics such as credit counseling, domestic violence, homebuyers programs, boy scouts, girl scouts, crime prevention, etc. While the one-on-one services are primarily offered, the Activity Coordinator will be required to refer residents to other agencies for further assistance when necessary.
