We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Employee Development Specialist in the Human Resources Department.In this challenging opportunity, you’ll be responsible for developing, coordinating, and participating in specialized and general training and development, assisting in the evaluation process to determine the degree to which training participants are absorbing material being presented, reviewing completed casework for accuracy, thoroughness and proper completion while providing written and/or oral corrections. You’ll also assist in coordinating lesson plans, handouts, audio-visual aids and other training materials, identify in-service training needs for staff and in developing training courses and materials to meet these needs, gather cost data on training materials, equipment, outside workshops and other training-related expenses to assist the manager in determining training budget requirements.Working collaboratively in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs, making revisions as needed, performing as a liaison with staff development personnel in other agencies and representatives from the State to obtain assistance in developing training courses and to keep abreast of the latest trends and requirements, are also essential functions of this outstanding opportunity. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field, plus two (2) years of professional level work experience in training and development, including one year of experience with curriculum design and delivery, facilitating supervisory or management and professional development training programs.
