A lady came to my door yesterday morning asking if I had a pomeranian - funny this is, I do, and the one I have is ALSO a stray that we picked up IN our subdivision about 3-4 weeks ago.She pointed and asked if this one outside was mine, it was not - this is a new one.
This one, like the 1st one we took in, needs groomed badly and has a thick yellow secretion coming out of his penis.The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that there is a puppy mill somewhere around here dumping dogs that are too old/sick to breed anymore - Pomeranians are not exactly your typical stray dog.
We put up signs about, and posted found ads for, the 1st one we found and now are doing the same for this one.We will not, however, be keeping this one if no owners contact us.We are looking for a rescue group that will pay any vet bills and find him a home - and we are willing to foster him, but with the understanding that we are not keeping him.
He is being groomed today @ 11am and I am putting signs up around the subdivision (Carter Ranch) today as well - If no one contacts us by Sunday of next weekend (April 13, 2008) we will find a rescue group willing to find him a new home.
