Immediate opening for an experienced Survey Technician to become a part of an established and growing survey group responsible for survey data reduction and base mapping for design surveys, as well as the preparation of boundary surveys,plats and right-of-way documents/exhibits on a variety of private and public sector projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience on a variety of projects and to work under the supervision of SITs and RPLSs. Position Requirements: At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational, professional and personal requirements: High School graduate or GED required Post-high school technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or related field preferred Professional Responsive and results oriented in service to clients Five (5) years of survey field and/or CAD experience preferred Proficient in AutoCAD 2005 or 2007 LDT or MicroStation/GeoPak software, as well as MS Word and Excel Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members Ability to quickly adapt to and adopt new CAD standards and survey procedures Commitment to quality in the preparation and presentation of survey drawings Personal Good organizational skills Good oral and written communication skills Interacts positively and effectively with people in all levels of organizations Responsibilities include: Reduction of field data and preparation of electronic base maps using established CAD standards. Assist with the analysis and preparation of boundary surveys, right-of-way exhibits and field notes, subdivision plats and other related documents. Coordination with engineers and other design team members Plotting and assembling of drawings, exhibits and other related survey documents.
